Article 1 These Terms
1.1 These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a contract between you and 美集國際資源股份有限公司 (Unified Business No. 60796739, operating under the name MatchGlobal · 美集國際; “MatchGlobal” or “we”). These Terms apply to every way you use MatchGlobal, including the app.matchglobal.co application, the matchglobal.co website, our LINE Official Account and LINE Mini App, the “美集AI翻譯機” translation bot, and any related services we provide (together, the “Service”).
1.2 The following policies form part of these Terms:
- Employer Terms: apply to employer accounts; where they are inconsistent with these Terms, the Employer Terms prevail;
- Community Guidelines: including the job-posting rules, rules of conduct, handling of no-shows, and types of suspension;
- the Promotion Terms, and the plan, feature or promotion terms shown when you apply for a particular plan, feature or offer.
The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It is a notice, not a contractual term; your rights under the Privacy Policy do not depend on whether you agree to these Terms.
1.3 You accept these Terms by tapping “I agree” (or a button with similar wording) when you register, or when we ask you to agree to an updated version. Before you agree, you can read the full text of all the documents in Traditional Chinese, English, Vietnamese or Indonesian at matchglobal.co/legal, and take as much time as you need to review them.
1.4 Analytics and ad-measurement tools. When you agree to these Terms, you also agree that we use cookies and analytics and ad-measurement tools in the App (currently PostHog, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel), as described in point 10 of the Privacy Policy. We may add, replace or stop using these tools, and will update the list of service providers in the Privacy Policy. The matchglobal.co website asks for your consent separately, through its cookie consent banner.
Article 2 Eligibility
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old.
2.2 International students and other foreign nationals. Before starting any paid work, you must obtain and maintain, on your own, the residence permit and work permit required by Taiwan law. Under Article 50 of the Employment Service Act, international students generally need a work permit, and during the semester may work at most 20 hours per week (this limit does not apply during winter and summer vacations). MatchGlobal may display reminders about work permits, expiry dates and weekly hours. These reminders are only an aid, not a review: they may be wrong or incomplete, and they do not mean that any job is lawful for you.
2.3 An employer must be a business, organization or individual that may lawfully employ people in Taiwan. A person who opens or uses an employer account represents that they are authorized to act on behalf of that employer.
2.4 You may not use the Service if we have permanently suspended your account, or if the law prohibits you from using the Service.
Article 3 Your account
3.1 You sign in with LINE. You agree to provide accurate, current personal information and to keep it up to date. Each person may hold only one personal account.
3.2 Keep your LINE account and devices safe. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account, unless someone used your account without your permission and you promptly notified us at support@matchglobal.co.
3.3 An employer is responsible for everyone it allows to use its employer account (owner, managers, HR, store managers) and for the roles and permissions it sets.
3.4 We may ask to verify your identity, school or eligibility to work, or an employer's company registration (Unified Business No.). Some features can only be used after verification is complete.
Article 4 What MatchGlobal is, and what it is not
4.1 MatchGlobal provides two services:
- a job information platform: employers post job information themselves, and job seekers browse it themselves and apply directly;
- workforce management tools: for employers and the people they employ, including scheduling, clocking in and out, working hours, leave, pay records, onboarding documents and messages.
4.2 We are not the employer. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, MatchGlobal is not a party to any job, employment contract or employment relationship between an employer and a worker. We do not provide employment placement or labor brokerage services or accept engagements to recruit; we do not select, recommend or refer job seekers on behalf of employers, nor recommend jobs on behalf of job seekers; whether to make contact, interview and hire is decided by the employer and the job seeker themselves. We do not employ or dispatch workers or pay their wages, and wages do not pass through MatchGlobal. Wages, labor insurance, health insurance, labor pension contributions, tax withholding, working hours and all other employer obligations are the employer's own responsibility.
4.3 We do not guarantee results. We do not guarantee that students will find work, that employers will find staff, that interviews or shifts will take place, or that anyone will pay or show up.
4.4 We do not fully review the content users post. We may verify some information (such as company registration) and remove content that breaks the rules. But job listings, profiles, résumés and messages are all provided by users, and we cannot confirm that all of them are true, complete or lawful. Please use your own judgment, and report anything suspicious in the App.
4.5 Our tools are an aid, not advice. Criteria comparison results, hour alerts, work-permit reminders, pay and insurance estimates, payslips, translations and any AI-generated content are there to help and may contain errors. They are not legal, tax, payroll or immigration advice, and users are responsible for the decisions they make based on them.
4.6 Search and sorting. The order and labels of job listings and talent search results are a way of presenting information that the system arranges automatically according to criteria the user chooses (such as location, available hours, hourly pay and language); they do not mean that MatchGlobal recommends or guarantees any job or candidate.
Article 5 Changes to the Service
5.1 MatchGlobal is a product under continuous development. We may at any time, at our own discretion, add, modify, rename, redesign, move to a different plan, limit, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, including features, plans, quotas, trials, promotions, integrations, supported languages, and the devices or applications on which the Service runs.
5.2 Advance notice. In the following cases, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance through the App, the LINE Official Account or email:
- removing a core feature you are using (as listed below); or
- starting to charge for something that was previously free.
For other changes, we will tell you when reasonably practicable, and may implement them immediately.
5.3 Core features means: for students, creating a profile, applying for jobs, viewing schedules, clocking in and out, and viewing their own pay records; for employers, the features listed on the pricing page as included in their current paid plan, and exporting data. How core features protect paying employers during a paid period is set out in the Employer Terms.
5.4 For students. MatchGlobal is currently free for students. If paid student features are introduced in the future, they will be optional, and we will notify you at least 30 days before they start.
5.5 Free features, trials, beta and preview features are provided as is. We may limit, modify or withdraw these features, set or adjust usage quotas, or end a trial early if it is abused. We will try to give advance notice, but are not obliged to. Features labeled beta, preview, pilot or “coming soon” may never be officially launched.
5.6 Points, rewards and promotions. Referral points, reward tiers, discount codes and other offers have no cash value, are not transferable, and are governed by the rules shown for each promotion. We may modify or end a rewards program; points are valid for 12 months from the date they are issued and expire after that; when a rewards program changes or ends, points already earned can still be redeemed for at least 30 days after the announcement (whichever of the two periods ends later applies). The full rules of promotions are set out in the Promotion Terms.
5.7 Factors beyond our control. Parts of the Service depend on third parties, including LINE, cloud hosting, translation and map providers, and government data sources. If they change or stop providing their services, the related parts of the Service may change or stop as well. If this affects a core feature, we will tell you.
5.8 System maintenance. We will try to announce scheduled maintenance in advance. Emergency fixes, security work and system outages may occur without notice.
Article 6 Changes to these Terms
6.1 We may update these Terms and the documents listed in Article 1.2, for example when the Service changes, when laws are amended, or to make the wording clearer.
6.2 A material change is a change that materially reduces your rights or increases your obligations. We will give notice of material changes at least 30 days in advance, in the App and by LINE or email, and record them in the Change Log. Because the Community Guidelines concern day-to-day conduct, they may be updated after 7 days' advance notice.
6.3 Other changes (corrections, clarifications, new features, or changes required by law) take effect when announced, and are recorded in the Change Log.
6.4 If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the Service and close your account before it takes effect. Employers on a paid plan may also terminate that plan and receive a refund for the unused period under the Employer Terms. If you continue to use the Service after the effective date, the updated terms apply to you. We may also ask you to tap to confirm your agreement.
6.5 Changes do not apply to disputes that arose before they took effect, and do not change the price for a period already paid for.
Article 7 Fees
Students do not pay to use MatchGlobal. For employer plans, prices, billing and refunds, see the Employer Terms and the pricing page.
Article 8 Your content
8.1 “Your content” means anything you put into the Service: profiles, résumés, photos, documents, job listings, company information, logos, messages, reviews and reports.
8.2 You keep ownership of your content. You grant MatchGlobal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, translate, adapt, display and share your content, but only to the extent needed to operate, protect and improve the Service, including showing it to the people you choose to share it with and having it processed on our behalf by our service providers. The license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies that must be kept by law or need to be kept because a dispute is unresolved.
8.3 Employer names and logos. Unless an employer tells us it does not agree, we may list it as a MatchGlobal customer and display its logo on its public job listings and on our website.
8.4 Statistics. We may generate de-identified, aggregated data from use of the Service (such as average hourly pay by area) and use it to improve and promote the Service. This data does not identify you or your company.
8.5 You warrant that you have the right to share your content, that it is accurate, and that it does not break the law or infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove or hide content that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or that must be removed by law.
Article 9 Our intellectual property
9.1 The Service, including its software, design, text, the MatchGlobal and 美集國際 names and logos, and the selection and arrangement of its data, belongs to MatchGlobal or its licensors. These Terms grant you only a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose, and no other rights.
9.2 We may freely use any ideas or feedback you give us, without payment or attribution.
Article 10 Prohibited conduct
You must follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not:
- provide false information, impersonate someone else, or open an account for someone else without authorization;
- post false, misleading or unlawful job listings, or use the Service for any purpose other than seeking workers for real, lawful jobs;
- ask job seekers to pay, put down a deposit, hand over a bank card or let you keep their identity documents, or make buying products a condition of being hired;
- use other people's personal data obtained from the Service for any purpose other than the application or employment relationship for which it was shared;
- access the Service with crawlers, bulk copying, automated tools, bots or AI agents without our written consent;
- use content or data from the Service to train or improve AI models;
- copy, reverse-engineer or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- circumvent plan limits, quotas, verification procedures or security measures;
- harass, discriminate against, threaten or defraud others, or send spam;
- upload malware, or do anything that harms the Service or other users.
Article 11 Suspension and closing accounts
11.1 You may close your account at any time, through “Settings” or by writing to support@matchglobal.co. Closing an account does not affect obligations that already exist, such as an employer's obligation to keep work records or pay wages.
11.2 We may limit, suspend or close accounts under the Community Guidelines, or remove content. We will usually warn you first and explain why. But we may act immediately, without further warning, if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect others' safety, stop fraud, meet a legal obligation or comply with a request from a competent authority, or in cases of serious or repeated violations.
11.3 You may appeal any suspension or closure under the Community Guidelines.
11.4 After an account is closed, we delete or de-identify your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy, except where we or the employer must keep it by law (for example, Taiwan labor law requires employers to keep attendance and wage records for five years). How an employer's data is handled after its plan ends is set out in the Employer Terms.
11.5 Articles 4, 8.4, 9 and 12 to 16, and any other terms that by their nature should survive, continue to apply after an account is closed.
Article 12 Other services
The Service runs inside LINE and links to services operated by others. Your use of LINE is subject to LINE's own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for services we do not operate.
Article 13 Disclaimer
13.1 We do our best to keep the Service accurate, secure and available, but the Service is provided as is and as available. To the extent permitted by law, and except as otherwise provided in these Terms, we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
13.2 Users are responsible for their own conduct. Disputes between employers and workers about work, wages, working hours, insurance, dismissal or other matters are for the parties to resolve themselves. We may offer help (such as providing records or mediating), but we are not obliged to, and offering help does not mean we are responsible.
Article 14 Limitation of liability
14.1 To the extent permitted by law, MatchGlobal is not liable for:
- loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or any indirect or consequential damages;
- the acts or omissions of other users, including an employer's failure to pay wages or a worker's failure to show up;
- losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of LINE, the internet or cloud services, natural disasters or government action.
14.2 Our total liability to you for all claims arising from the Service in any 12-month period is capped at the higher of: (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose; and (b) TWD 1,000.
14.3 These Terms do not limit any liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including our liability for intent or gross negligence (Article 222 of the Civil Code), liability for death or personal injury, and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Personal Data Protection Act.
Article 15 Indemnity
If you are an employer, you must bear the losses, fines and reasonable attorney's fees MatchGlobal incurs as a result of any claim brought against MatchGlobal by workers, job seekers, authorities or anyone else because of your job listings, recruiting or hiring conduct, your violation of labor, immigration or personal data laws, or your violation of these Terms. Students bear this responsibility only where the law allows and only for intent or gross negligence.
Article 16 Governing law, disputes and language
16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
16.2 If a problem arises, please contact us first; most problems can be resolved quickly. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the Taiwan Taipei District Court is the court of first instance with jurisdiction. This does not affect a consumer's statutory right to bring proceedings in another court.
16.3 These Terms are published in Traditional Chinese, English, Vietnamese and Indonesian. If the versions are inconsistent, the Traditional Chinese version prevails, unless the law provides otherwise.
Article 17 General terms
17.1 Notices. We may notify you through the App, the LINE Official Account, email or an announcement on matchglobal.co. You can contact us at support@matchglobal.co or at 台北市松山區南京東路五段188號6樓之5.
17.2 Assignment. We may assign these Terms to a company that takes over the Service, and will notify you if we do. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent.
17.3 Severability. If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid, the rest remains in effect, and the invalid part is replaced by the closest valid wording.
17.4 No waiver. If we do not exercise a right immediately, that does not mean we cannot exercise it later.
17.5 Entire agreement. Unless the parties sign a separate written contract, these Terms and the documents listed in Article 1.2 form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
